About Us

Maricela Aguilar-Ochoa is the Principal Consultant & CEO. Born and raised in San Benito, a small town located in South Texas. She started her career with the Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. Throughout her 20-year career with Four Seasons she worked in Houston and Austin Texas, Carlsbad California and ultimately found her home in Las Vegas Nevada (the City of Lights). While working with Four Seasons, she was able to assist and open several properties in California, Missouri, and Colorado. Maricela’s background ranges from working in food & beverage to rooms operations before she found her passion in Human Resources.

Maricela has held progressively responsible positions in Human Resources Management in Fortune 500 companies including hotel, casino, call centers and attractions industries.

Maricela’s experience includes employee relations management, leadership development, recruitment, the creation of policy & implementation, and compliance. She is certified in 360 Certification Assessment and trained in D.I.S.C. and Step One – a collaborative approach to issue resolution.

In May of 2018, Maricela decided she wanted to explore her lifelong goal of becoming an entrepreneur and launched her company which is called OCINS Consulting. Her goal is to help businesses inspire people to achieve success through employee engagement, recruitment, training, and coaching.

Maricela’s motto is when you think about Human Resources it should be that “we are the resource to the human.” We are a business partner who will be able to collaborate with the business and be the advocate for leadership and employees to help develop a progressive strategy for success, engagement, and cutting-edge thinking.

Fun Trivia

When asked how the name came about for her business, Maricela states: It is a representation of my son’s name – Nicolas Samuel. He goes by NICO. Therefore, I spelled his name backward added the S to represent his middle name, and the name sounds like “oceans” – it is a reflection that Nico enjoys the ocean and the sounds of the peaceful waves that splash when having fun at the beach.
